Now try this problem: what height would a triangle with the base of 6 have, if it was similar to a triangle with a base of 2 and a height of 1?

Move your mouse so that you have a triangle with a base 6. How high do you have to make this triangle to get a triangle with the same angles? You see that the base and height of this new triangle still have the same ratio.

This new triangle has a base of six and a height of three, so divide six by three and you get two, which is exactly the same as what you got in the above example.

Check these relations for triangles with other angles.
